Jonathan

I have been doing outdoor stuff for over 30 years. I've been a paramedic for over 20 years. I started out with a very small kayak and then purchased succession of larger ones. But I grew more confident on the water begin to do longer trips including ocean kayaking. Over time I've also owned a sailboat and a small 13 foot Boston Whaler. More recently I have been working in the Merchant Marine and have spent over a year of my life at sea on big ships. I am enamored with water. When I’m not out doing something fun I am a Paramedic in my home town of Brimfield, Massachusetts as well as working at a local theme park doing EMS.

I had been searching the internet for many years now about Ranger Tugs and how I had always wanted a 21. Finally a plan was hatched to buy a tug. I had been looking for over a year and with the help of my best friend ended up getting the boat! It’s been quite and adventure and one of the best decisions that I have made. I am looking forward to many years ahead with this great little boat!

J.P.

J.P. is my best friend and an avid outdoors enthusiast. We have been best friend since we met in Paramedic school 25 years ago. We have always looked to the outdoors to do vacations when we could break off from work and head out into the woods - mostly involving trips on the water somehow. We still spend time outdoors together and the boat is a logical extension of our on the water trips. JP is the tech guy on the boat (although I am learning) and is a wiz with engines and electronics. When not out on the water J.P. is a firefighter/paramedic and lives with his wife in the Western Massachusetts hill towns.

Home Port

Toto the Tug is home ported in either Brimfield, Massachusetts or Whatley, MA. She is kept on a trailer when not in use. We tow her with either a Toyota Tacoma 6 cylinder or a full sized GMC pickup. The gross weight of the boat is approx 4,250 pounds including the trailer.
